This is a cake I decorated for my mum's birthday. Unfortunately, she made the actual cake! I was still at uni and had only finished my exams the day before coming home - I was VERY hungover that day and we had to go to my nan's birthday party, so I only had time to decorate it on the morning of her birthday! What a terrible daughter...
All was well, my mum makes seriously good cake. Same as usual, Madeira cake avec roll out icing (coloured by moi) and then butter cream roses. And no, I have no idea how to pipe, hence squashy roses and a wonky 'Mum' :S It tasted very good though!
